February 13, 2020 .Iloilo Bloggers and local media joined the heritage tour organized by Smart Communication, Inc. and InnoPub Media.

The heritage tour is part of the Smart Digital Tourism Program that aims to promote information in Churches here in Jaro with the aid of interactive markers. The markers contain QR codes and NFC chips that mobile users can scan using celfones to access the important details of the heritage sites. Bloggers and local media together with Smart Public Affairs for Visayas and Mindanao, Atty. Jane Paredes, Marylou Gocotano, Max Limpag of InnoPub, Arch. Tess Austria of University of San Agustin, Fr. Angelo Colada, Director of Jaro Social Communications visited St. Vincent Ferrer Seminary, Jaro Cathedral, Lapaz Church, Molo Church and Arevalo Church. Last November, Smart Communication and InnoPub gave the interactive markers to 10 parishes in the Archdiocese. This is a great help to our Archdiocese especially to the pilgrims and devotees as we continue to find inventive ways to harness the power of technologies for evangelization and in order to transmit the content of the faith to today’s hyper-connected generation.

By informing them, we are forming them.
